Screen is flashing

On my way to work the idrive screen flashed a few times and the radio sound was breifly interupted. I am assuming it is time to get a new battery .Any other thoughts??

Well when I had that issue, It was time to replace my alternator. Just a thought.

Its defiantly the alternator.

In my case first changed the batery.Second changed just the alternator relay, not the entire piece.(big money difference)

I had the same problem, I ignored it, and after one week it happened again while I was driving pretty fast and the engine suddenly stoped. I was lucky there was no car around. Car did not start again and I had to use the pathway to take it away. Replace it asap
