Are Runflats to blame for poor grip in damp conditions?

I have winter runflats, also Dunlops, and those obviously have much better grip in wet or snowy conditions. My summer runflats have pretty bad wet traction, but especially when the temperatures are in the 40s or 30s -- and that's because of the rubber compounds built for hot, high-speed summer driving. So I blame the tradeoffs in rubber compounds and tread patterns, not whether it's a runflat or not. Like I say, my winter runflats are totally different from the summer, and get good traction.
