The model designation on my door panel is "545is" I guess because I have the sports package or the SMG, anyone add an "s" to the model numbers on the back of the car? Where did you get the "s" and do you have pictures.

You could order custom letters from www.bimmian.com (http://www.bimmian.com/60)

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets. First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
Unhappy

They seemed to have stopped that after the early models (my 87 535iS was so badged). They did carry it forward a bit into the 90s on the 3 series, but that was it.

Now, you have to know your blacked-out window trim and staggered wheel sizes...

Cheers,
Ray Hull
PS: The insurance companies still know from the VIN ;->

You may try to order the "is" badge from your dealer. All the E36 coupes had the "is" designation.

The part number is from Realoem.com - 51148122481

Heck no. The "s" stands for sissy.
