And since I live in Sweden where we use bar as a measurement for tire pressure, that would be about 2,5/front and 2,9/rear?

Yes, I use 2,5 F and 3,0 R.

Seems to be about right for 245/40 18"

PS. 2,0 F and 2,4 R is way too little.

The RF's don't give any harder ride with + 0,5 bars extra,
but rolls better, less tramlinging and saves gas.

Ricracing,

I just checked the inside of the door-panel in my BMW just to make sure on the recommended tyre pressures for the 245/40 R18 93Y run-flats:
2,0 (front) and 2,4 (rear) is the recommended tyre pressure for a load of max. 4 adults;
2,4 (front) and 2,9 (rear) is the recommended tyre pressure for a fully loaded car (5 adults + load).

Doesn't your car jump all over the place when you're driving on your own with the 2,5 F & 3,0 R pressure ?

Greetz and thanks for your feedback.

P.S.
Congrats on ordering your new 520dA !

What is the recommended pressure for runflat tires?

take the pressure from the side pillar at the drivers' side door and add .1 (european type pressure reading, is that bar?)

can try adding .2 as well.

when fully loaded it's different again, as pointed out on the pillar sticker. but for daily driving adding .1 is good.

I just hit 17,000 miles and the noise from the Dunlop runflats are unbearable. Took car to dealer where i bought car, service rep acknowledge the fact that there is definitely tire wear on one side and that BMW is aware of the problem with these runflat. Rep suggest i purchase new tires or call Dunlop. Call BMWNA and mentioned bulletin, the response i got was that they have no knowledge of such a bulletin and if there was a bulletin it would only apply to MY2005. I have a 2006 E60 with sport package delivered 06/05. Called Dunlop and their customer service rep was nice and honest enough to say there is a bulletin pertaining to the irregular wear issue. The rep sent me to a Goodyear, (was told that Goodyear acquired Dunlop) tire place but they want documentation from BMW with spec for suspension, wheel alignment, etc. which BMW will not provide, waiting to hear from Dunlop.
Your dealer is jerking you around !!!!!! Many on this forum as well as on bimmerfest have had their tires changed before 20,000 miles FREE by the dealer because of noise or noise and wear problems. I had mine changed at 15,000 + miles for noise problems by JMK BMW without any problems. As I said before your dealer is jerking you around.
Do a search on the subject, SEARCH IS YOUR FRIEND. Good luck on your out come
cheers

Hi!
I have Dunlop RFTs on 17" rims and the sticker on my car door panel has the exact tyre pressure recommendations like yours (2.0 for front and 2.4 for rear max 4 adults). I have tried using a higher inflation but find the car feels very bumpy so I am sticking to the recommended pressure and checking it every 2 weeks (which is a pain). Seems that the recommended pressures are quite different for various models after reading all these posts, could it be that it is due to run flats and non-run flats have very different recommended pressures? The door sticker is most probably meant for the original factory fitted tyres so if you have run flats from the factory and you subsequently changed to non run flats you might need to get the correct recommended pressuren for these type of tyres.
