Got my car back from BMW today with new Dunlop runflats, what a difference i can hear my engine again.
So did you end up getting them free under the bulletin? Was it from the original dealer or did you have to find another one that was more willing to honor the bulletin?

Hi everyone, I have on my E61 530d Dunlop SpSport 01 DSST RSC 245/40-18 93W with pressure 2.4 in front and 2.8 in back! I?ve never had any problems until now with them and I've just did a 5000kms trip this summer and no noises and no problems at all! I've worked on the automobile industrie for 5 years and by what I know tyres with the exact same reference may varie depending on the time they have been in stock, the way they are stored,etc... some people say that the RFT tyres are more sensitive to this procedures, they are heavier than normal then they are more subsestible to be damaged if stored the wrong way! Usually the tyres that came from factory with the car are better because the plants have them stocked for longer periods than usual and this is a big advantaged only if they are stored the correct way because the rubber will last longer if it stays longer periods exposed to air. I don't know if this is totally correct but that's what I was told!

I got them from my dealer they finally honored the bulletin and i didn't pay a THING. I guess they got tired of me complaining that relative and friends with BMW's had already had their tires replace. They offered to do a wheel alignment but i declined because i wanted to see if the tires made the difference and it did, with hands off the steering wheel the car is as straight as an arrow with no play. Thanks.

Glad to hear you were able to get them free. Keep your eye on things because in about 7 or 8 thousand more miles, they may start making noise again! The bulletin only states that the tires can't have more than 20K miles on them so you can keep getting free ones as long as they exhibit the wear pattern on the bulletin...
