After reading the traffic on this form, I assumed that my 2006 530i (non-sport) came with run flat tires. After a bit of research, I noticed that my car is equipped with standard tires -- Goodyear Eagle RS-A 255/50R17. Was I supposed to get Run Flats? I must say that I am a bit disappointed since I like concept of being able to drive on a run-flat until a safe area is found to do a change.

A: Consider yourself lucky.
B: For grins, check and let us know what your spare tire looks like (real, with real wheel, or donut).

All ears,

No harm done! You can always do the same mistake I did.

My car came with standard 16" wheels and they where non RF's.

But then I bought the 18" Styling 123 wheel/tire package with Dunlop RF's.

The tires have to go next spring.

Without double checking, I remember seeing a basic steel rim with a donut tire.

Consider yourself lucky you did not get runflats..... I just switched from runflats to standard tires, and it's like a new car. So much better on normal tires, I can't begin to explain.
