Run Flat Tires

My SA told me that my 08 550i has Run Flat Tires, but noticed that there is a spare tire in the trunk. What year did BMW stop putting spare tires in the trunk, and if my tires are run flats why do I have a spare tire?

Some people order a spare to feel comfortable!
Your tires will have ROF or similar to let you know they are Run On Flat.
If you are happy, sell your spare. People like me like to buy them and ditch the ROFs!
