I had run flats on my 04 Z4 for 4 years and had no problems or complaints with the noise/handing. However, I ran over a nail and found out they cannot be plugged (or rather the dealers will not plug them - based on manufacturers recommendations) - so every nail will potentially cost you $400. Definitely get tire & wheel insurance if you have RFTs.

dealer's do not offer wheel/tire coverage anymore...at least not here in california...
