I have new BMW 545i for one and half month. I felt that the steering wheel vibrating and after taking it to the BMW dealer they siad all tires must be change and the warranty don't cover them ???

First: is Run Flat Tires has a warranty ?

Second: How long? is it 6 month as other tires or on which criteria the warranty is ?

I have the exact same problem. My dealer is getting me new tires from bmw netherlands. And I know 1 thing for sure. I will not pay for new tires on a 3 weeks old car.

I had the same problem with my first E60. The dealer replaced my wheels and tyes with spare set they had in stock.

That said, I've noticed in two different cars now that I can feel a little vibration when first driving the car in the morning. This soon disappears as the tyres warm up.

I had the little vibration too in the morning.. But its getting worse and worse and is so bad now I cannot drive between a 100 and 120 kms per hour because the car vibrates so badly it is uncomfortable.

I still notice it some mornings in my new car, although it completely disappears after a few miles. I've just put it down to a little peculiarity of runflats.

I'll give serious consideration to going with regular tyres when the runflats wear out.

530E60NL,

Has your dealer given you an ETA on the tyres?

Phil.

No, they want to give it another try to balance it next thursday. If it isn't gone I want new tires within a few days because I get sick and tired of it.

If the tires are defective (as the dealer states), contact the tire manufacturer and have them replaced at no charge. At no time should you be paying for new tires.

IMO, this is a scam perpetrated by BMW because they chose the tire manufacturer and should be responsible if the tires are defective.

If you buy milk from the market in a carton that leaks, the market doesn't send you to the manufacturer to get a new carton.
