My Ride: E60 M5
I really doubt that the new CTS-V, tested side-by-side, will be as fast as a 997 TT or the "new" Lambo (I'm assuming LP-5604?) from 0-60.... or from the Dig. 4 wheel drive vs rear from a dig? Gimme a break....

GM is giving the CTS-V a 0-60 time of 3.9. Using the 3.9 for the CTS-V as our benchmark:
* 997 TT - 3.7 seconds (Porsche initially claimed 3.9)
* 2007/8 Lambo Gallardo - 3.9 to 4.1 seconds (the new LP 560-4 is around 3.7)
My post said the CTS-V is broadly as fast. At 3.9 seconds, in itself a pretty stellar number for a sedan, that's close enough for me

I'm not quite sure why everyone has to get soo offensive...we are all friends here no? 
As for the roll cage comment..in CTS-V "record breaking" 'ring run...this was all brought up months ago and the folks from Caddy already responded.. "There was a roll cage in the car ? For safety's sake, as well as for an anchor point for the six-point safety harnesses, there was a four-point roll cage bolted into the car. However the cage was "loose fit" and didn't add any structural heft to the car. "We didn't want to change the car's balance at all" Details on the Cadillac CTS-V's Run Around the 'Ring
The car was even on stock tires for that 7.59 run.
I was interested in the CTS-V and even had a deposit down months ago for one but in the end I chose to go with BMW...The M5 is one of my ALL TIME favorite cars but I think we can still give the guys from Caddy some props...they made a VERY FAST high performance sedan.
