My Ride: 2008 528xi (Silver)
Default Rim fit

I AM BUYING M5 REPLICA WHEELS FOR VERY CHEAP WITH SNOW TIRES INSTALLED. My major concern is fit, original for my 528xi 2008 is 225/50/17 and with a offset of 43 (all 4 wheels). The wheel i will be purchasing are the say 225/50/17 m style rims (i am assuming the width is the same of the rim) with a offset of 35 for all 4 wheels.

The rims are coming off a 2008 335i (non xdrive).

Now will the 8mm make a difference in fit?

Offsets will be fine.
for example, I'm running 8.5x20 ET30 Front and 10x20 ET38 rear...

There are other threads on this forum that can confirm

Do you have a "xi" by any chance, since i did hear about non x models have low offset numbers. Also if you do have xi, do your rims/wheel go past the body frame (wider stance) and would you say it looks better this way?

also thanks for the fast reply, much appreciated

No problem. I do have an xi. If the wheels you are buying are the same width as the original wheels, the new wheels will sit further out by the difference in your offsets. So if the wheels are both 8" wide for example, your new wheels will sit 8mm further out. The OEM wheels sit really far in the wheel well, so yours will not stick out past the fenders, but they will sit further out than stock wheels. My wheels with a 30 offset in front do not extend past the fenders

And yes, it looks MUCH better with the lower offset

This thread covers just about all you need to know about offset for the XI.
