Right tail lamp malfunction

Did you check the right side grounding pack? Some have solved this issue by adding another ground wire. You can search and find how-to.

When the weather warms up that will be my next step. I will update when I get the chance to try that.

Like the other members said, there was a recall on the tail lights. I had that same error message and the received a recall letter from BMW and they were replaced for free.
