riding on 20"s
had a question for you guys on 20"s. for the last couple years i was running 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. i noticed that when i would slowly come to a stop, that i would get a disruptive downshift right before i would stop. took it in and the dealership said it was probably because the tires were not at oem specifications. did realize, just recently, that this set up is a bit "taller" than the oem one and did throw my odometer off a bit too. i'm think the taller tires and tricking the downshift point a bit and that's why. but then i know many have harsh downshifts and transmission slams. so which one is this one? is this just me and my car or do all you guys with the same tire set up have a similiar problem.
just wanted to know before i sell these tires and get 30's in the front and 25's in the back.
thanks.

Im running with those tire sizes, and that's what we usually recommend but we always let our customers know that they are thicker sidewalls than usual mainly for the purpose of more rim protection. the odometer would be off slightly but I would probably say its a transmission slam problem that youre having. there's a transmission reset that you can try that involves holding the accelerator down for about 25 seconds I believe. others I know that they went in for a software update with the dealer as another option for smoother shifts.
