Hello all
I was wondering if replacing the rubber black trim around the back window and windshield is something that has to be done by a professional or if this is a DIY moment. The trim is coming apart looks like crap too.
Thanks

i was told with the back window that there's a chance of it cracking. it was worth it for me to shell out the $240 to have it done by a professional (think dealership wanted $300).
The rear on my car was a piece of cake! took 25 min, just make sure you start at the bottom and work your way arround! dont use pressure on the glass to pry, push the metal sleeve away from the glass where it has already been separated. I couldn't get the front removed, just had them replace the glass under comprihensive through insurance and gave them the OEM top seal to install! Most glass companies use a universal molding for the front!
If you want to see how easy it is to remove, open the trunk and start at the bottom with a flat head screwdriver, med. size and push it away from the glass! after that just slide the screwdriver in the slot where the glass was and push it away! Just take your time and work it all the way arround!

Awesome. Need to replace my rear window trim too. I did the front and it was such a pita to slide the rubber piece in. Didn't attempt the rear window trim the same day cause I was dreading that it would take as long as the front.
