So I have been digging into using INPA to try and figure out how to clear my passenger restraint system fault on the idrive. AchtungE60 has offered to help but my schedule is crazy and din't want waste his time trying to connect.
anyway, I was able to locate where the code was stored after trying several time to clear in the "functional jobs". I found it in the Safety modules and its pointing to "Satellite B pillar right "
Now the question is, can that module be the cause of the fault and has anyone have success replacing that module?
Thanks

hey bro. yes any module can be the cause of fault but post up your error message so we can see the fault unless your 1005 sure. If it's that module is a bit strange. I personally would check fuses and physical connection first. Forget functional jobs. Go into the body and go the module options and see if there is an EM and IM field. These both should be cleared. Sorry I just can't remember off the top of my head.

A2 SBSR OKAY 1 Error stored
95B7
I found the fault in the (SBSR)B-pillar satellite right module (under the body options) and cleared both the IM/EM (twice)....the fault eventually comes back.
Found this after allot of looking around: SBSR FC 95B7 "seat occupancy detection communication malfunction" or 95B8 "sensor mat fault".
When I get home I will take a screen capture and post it for accuracy.
Thx

Ah the famous issue. First was your car already repaired under the recall? Call local dealer to run your VIN and found out. If not, go get it done free if your car is on the list. If so, then it should be warrantied for 10 yrs.
Or if it's not on the list PM Let try to fix this!
