Good morning members!
I won't put the front license plate on the new bumper and I would like to know which sanctions you have in your country .
France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Liechtstein (do we have a members from there ? ), Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and Great Britain at least .
Can you ask to the police or to someone there ?
Let me start : here we have only a ticket, ?70-80 .
In case of counterfeit it is penal with confiscation of the car, but I simply don't want it on (someone told me in some countries there is the confiscation even for don't show it, so I'm asking here)
I don't want trouble during a trip around our continent .
I think this can be a useful discussion.
Thanks, bye!

I do not think you can avoid both plates in the EU. The front and back are different coloured for this reason. There are a lot of number recognition systems that rely on the front number plate. At major airport the car park barriers will not open if it cannot read your front plate and print your reg number on the car park ticket.

Obviously I would keep it in the boot and with the 3M double side tape in case of emergency .
I saw a Mitsubishi Lancer without it and some Ferraris .

That would be, uh, white in front and white in the back?
I would imagine the standard fine in UK would apply i.e. ?60
