Remote start not available?

I am considering purchasing a 2008 535i and I just paged through the online manual. It looks like there is no remote start as an option. Is that correct?

Thats correct, BMW doesn't believe in it. The manual says to start your car and go, no excess idling, no need to warm up engine.

Maybe it is a legal issue
It is not a good feature if you have kids, enclosed garage and your keys are picked up by the kids and start to play with..
I do not like it unlless it has some sort of feature like finger print / voice identity/ eye scanner ?
