Hi guys just wanting sone advice ive just bought a e60 530i and the rcl didnt work and if i put the key in the door lock it only locks the 1 door

The key starts the car fine and when driving the anti hijack works fine (all doors lock when setting off and unlock when i turn the car off). So the mechanisms must be fine

The key itself was in poor condition and somebody has split it open and changed the battery which i hear cant be done

I've had a local specalist come out and cut and program a new key but the rcl still doesn't work so what is the next best place to check

Regarding the second issue (open manually):
It can be either set in th iDrive or be coded what happens when you unlock the drivers door.
I think the options are Driver's door only, Front doors and All doors. Not sure about the second one though.

Do you have the saloon (E60) or estate (E61)?
The latter often has issues with broken cables in the trunk affecting the antenna.

Mines the saloon version mate
