Was out driving after an engine oil change. Felt frisky and went full bore and the tach flew to 7k and bounced off probably in 2nd gear. Had done a longer run at full throttle thru most of the gears a mile earlier. Anyone experience this while in ds mode? Just little concerned as I've changed the tranny fluid and wondering if the tranny isn't functioning properly. It's running okay but seems jumpy every now and then. Of course I might be looking for odd things with the tranny and worrying myself needlessly. It's generally smooth.

Anyone thoughts. Btw. I rarely drive in ds so maybe this is normal.

Can you describe what you mean by jumpy?

As for bounce off, do you mean like a red line rev limiter bounce? Last I checked, our cars don't do that, they simply reduce fuel to prevent the redlining.

I'd say it's normal. I've hit 7k rpm a few times, but normally it would shift around 6,500.
