My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
No good deed goes unpunished. A friend is debating a 650 or a 550 and wanted to drive my stick, as he now has a 530 sport stick. (neither local dealer stocks a 6 speed). I obliged, and he thoroughly enjoyed it and will probably go for the 550i sport.
No sooner had I resumed the driver's seat, and adjusted the rear-view mirror back, than the cheesy plastic clam-shell housing flew away as if it had a charge under it.
I called my dealer and with holidays, etc. they are backed up badly. I tired to get it back together, but it keeps falling apart.
Anyone got any tips on making this thing stay put?
Cheers,
Ray Hull
