Rear Differential Seal Leaking

My Ride: 2008 550i M-Sport
Has anyone attempted this? The front one from the drive shaft on my car is leaking and the independant shop wants $500. Best i can tell the seal is only $30 so it must be all labor. I need a second opinion.
