Hey,

I'm wondering what people get for their actual MPG on the 525i? I don't seem to trust the gas mileage advertisements...

On my drive yesterday from Charlotte to Atlanta and back I averaged 30.3 MPG. I have often averaged 33 MPG on trips. I was driving a bit faster at around an average of 77 MPH.

that is realistic. my 530 is getting less then 20 MPG at "realistic" driving. I can get over 20 MPG for sure if I driving it a senior citizen on fwy. those who post anything closed to 30 MPG is bull unless you're indeed drive like an old... folk... but then why are you getting a BMW?

no, when you drive highway at a constant speed around 70-80 mph for a long distance (2 hours or more), you should average about 22-30 mpg. but this will never happen to me though

Doing all highway miles I can usually get just above 30mpg (33 being the best ever).

For mixed highway/city driving I usually average about 24-25mpg. (non-sprited driving)

I am very surprised at the fuel economy, I was expecting 20-30% lower than what I am actually getting.

Don't forget there is a difference between fuel grades and imperial vs metric mpg (I think??? or did I dream that??), so please include your location in your post if it's not already in your profile when answering

People often say how cheap fuel is in the US ... but my god your fuel sucks ... !! 525i in the UK, you'd get low to mid 30's no problem.
