RDC trigger coding

I'm having an intermittent problem with my TPMS system. Error codes point to a bad RDC trigger driver's side rear. Does this require coding after replacement?. To be clear, it's not the RDC module in the trunk or the antenna underneath the belly pan. There are 4, one behind the splash guard in each wheel well (P/N 36236771042).
