My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front. Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.

Have been driving my car for a few weeks now.
Everything about the car is great, except for the clutch and the shift...
Is there a short shift kit available for 525/530? Last I saw there's one for 545i, is the shifter supposed to be different in 545 (so that kit won't work on 525/530?)
Also, awhile back I saw some DIY stuff for the clutch stop with some simple hardware, but couldn't find it now...
Lastly, still need to get my CDV removed, need to find a shop to do the work
It's so hard to have a quick and smooth shift from 1st to 2nd, I can shift smoother with my 120k miles accord.
Do I just need more time to get used to?
I drove my bro's A4 and his is quick and slick....

Do the CDV removal (or mod) fist. You might be happy and not need the other two mods. Any non-dealer BMW shop will do it and it's easy to do. You can get used to the CDV and have smooth shifts 1st to 2nd but it took me about 3k miles to get used to it on my E39 540i. My E60 has been a huge improvement but it might be the reduced torque in the 3.0L vs. the 4.4L making the shifts easier.
