Question about rear view mirror... HIDDEN COMPASS

I just bought an autodimming rear view mirror on eBay. The seller says that it has Homelink (which I can verify because it has the 3 buttons on it) and hidden compass. The problem is he's not sure if the mirror actually has the hidden compass. The mirror is from a 2006 E60 M5.
I'm wondering if the M5s from 2006 had a rear view mirror with hidden compass. Does anyone know for sure?
I posted here because this subForum is more active than the M5 forum. I hope that's OK.
Thanks in advance.

There's another way to verify it ... If it's a compass capable rear view mirror there should be a tiny pin hole for resetting the the compass under the mirror (the section that face down along where those 3 homelink buttons) ... a bit to the right of the alarm led.
AFAIK the late model mirror (like I'm using) has the dot matrix display and not visible thru the mirror (when not lit) but older model mirror (likely like your '06) it should have a see thru windows (not as hidden so still visible even when not lit) around the upper right corner and still uses the 'ole blocky two "8" style LED display (like an original calculator style) if you know what I'm talking about.
Chk this thread for your reference -> https://5series.net/forums/diy-do-yo...ompass-112284/ in that thread pics on the post #1 & #17 $ you'll see the 'window' of the compass on the upper right corner screen and the reset pin hole and pic of my 'dot matrix' version is on post #21.
