Question about Active Steering
Okay so at speeds less than 45mph, there is a 44 percent quicker steering ratio. At speeds above 75, active steering provides an 11 percent slower steering ratio.
What about for speeds between 45 and 75? What type of ratio do we have at those speeds?

The rate of ratio change is a smooth curve that bends the those speeds and is a straight line between them. Somewhere in this forum I recall the post showing the technical description with the graph.

Another benefit (if you will) of Active Steering is that it will help correct an oversteer condition.
Oddly enough, it works very intuitively and you still have a feeling of being in control and not that the car is driving you... or so I've heard.

I like active steering except when I'm backing in to my garage. Now I have to line up and back straight in whereas before i could be sloppy and made minor steering corrections as I backed in. With active steering I tend to over-correct when backing in.
I also wish there is a way to turn it off.

It's almost too sensitive. Is there a way to adjust the ratio?

Active steering is a blessing. After a while it does become intuitive. You can pretty much predict the ratio from the speed you're going.
You only notice it if you try parking a car without as.. I nearly crashed my wife's car cause I wasn't steering enough.

quite true... I only have 1600km on my 545i .. I guess I'll get used to AS as I log more hours/km behind the wheel.
