Make sure you read the warranty CAREFULLY and clarify those limits:
7 years from the day you purchase the contract or the day the car was placed in service (sold brand new)?
100k miles for the day you purchase the contract or when the odometer reaches 100k miles?
If you have alot of optional factory installed electronics (like I do) or if you are making payments buying an extended warranty is definitely a good thing to do

I was strongly considering the same and after posting and reading the replies I decided not too. I also did a lot of research on the company and found that what they were saying to me was not correct. They were not a part of the BB and had jumped into a similar program like the BB that they created... Imagine that? Anyway, this is not the same company that you are looking at, but you should google them and see if there are any complaints. One of the common complaints was the fact that sometimes they refused to pay for the repair and then your car is stuck in the shop waiting for you to pay this... I also heard many stories where pepole here had no problems and paid fast. Bottom line is this compamny is in it to make money, not take a loss...

If your car runs fine you'll beat yourself over it, if the transmission gets busted you'll be pat yourself in the shoulder.. never know, we all know fixing these cars ain't cheap.. I learned the hard way, I have paid twice as much as your warranty in less than a year.. I would say better save than sorry. My 2c

Thanks for the insight bro. If I loose out because I never make a claim, I will just look at like an auto insurance policy that I paid for many years but never made a claim. My gut is telling me that my car will not be rock solid for three years, so I'm going with my gut.

Get the warranty. BMW has a reputation for a reason. I got my 08 535i at 45k miles CPO'd for 100k or till 2014. Hope nothing goes wrong, but if it does I'm taken care of. It helps me sleep at night and that's whats important.
