I have decided that I'm going to pull the trigger on the BMW Platinum 7/100 extended warranty tomorrow. I'm getting it for $3939.

Your thoughts????

What is covered? If not everything, I probably wouldn't do it. But that's my opinion.

I normally keep my cars about three years. I really love this car and would like to keep it for a while

The warranty is very comprehensive. I believe certain trim items are not covered.

Good advice John, but what happens if my tranny goes? My slush box has a mind of its own on certain days. That's more than $4k.

better chance that your tranny goes before you sell the car or your extended warranty expires but if you have $ 4K extra to burn for peace of mind, then why not.

I was strongly considering the same and after posting and reading the replies I decided not too. I also did a lot of research on the company and found that what they were saying to me was not correct. They were not a part of the BB and had jumped into a similar program like the BB that they created... Imagine that? Anyway, this is not the same company that you are looking at, but you should google them and see if there are any complaints. One of the common complaints was the fact that sometimes they refused to pay for the repair and then your car is stuck in the shop waiting for you to pay this... I also heard many stories where pepole here had no problems and paid fast. Bottom line is this compamny is in it to make money, not take a loss...
