A few days ago I noticed that there was a 6GB posting of Progman 29, consisting of a Windows PE ISO and a application ISO. I took a look at it for the sake of curiosity, and noted that on the application ISO there was an E60 folder.
Within that folder there was a 400Kb XML package file.
With no further use for it, I deleted the files. What it does bring to the fore, in my mind at least, is that the difficulties reported by owners when their dealers upgrade the car software are most probably due to BMW operator error (and bluntly put - a lack of knowledge on their part) given that the operating platform is mostly mainstream, not fully custom/black box as i had thought.
Just for clarity, if you want to find the above - you're on your own.
Code:
\CIP-Installer\bin\pkg_desc\PRG_29.0.0.7_DVD_1\sp-DATEN-E60
