Three more observations:
1. New icons for iDrive settings (ho hum) in 23.01.00.
2. There is not a new step in moving from one CD track to another. Given my recollections, I think that the time it takes for a CD's track screen to show up is much slower. So, when they didn't show up on a timely basic, I did some unnecessary clicks--that actually accomplished nothing.
3. I actually got some wheel spin this morning at a place where I used to get wheel spin and at 81 F using pretty serious brake torquing with DSC/DTC off (of course).
This ability should induce more variability in my passes and, thus, provide the opportunity to make some really good passes--assuming nothing else has changed. My overall average probably will not change much because now I also am likely to have more "bad" passes too. I am glad that some driver skill will be involved in my passes again.
After 21..., it was just point and shoot with my car. Now, I'm looking forward to the upcoming testing season.
Come on 550i guys get on with testing with us.

My car has learned some new tricks that I like. I turn the key on, my CD player starts playing immediately (only about 1 or so tunes beyond where I left it), and the lawyer screen goes away almost immediately.
Of course, at least the CD is not supposed to start playing immediately. Way to foul up again Siemens VDO.

New Trick: My car now is allowing some brake torquing (nannies off) just using the foot brake.

I got my car sw upgraded to Progman 23, but "CD keeps playing when car is off" is still there. What's the point to update the software here. It was my time. ![Nono](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/nono.gif)

Thanks, Dave.
As long as this issue has not been resolved, we'll get free programming until warranty expires.
I'm sure in the long run, BMW will encounter law suit that problem is not fixed after warranty expires while waiting for new software update.
