My 545i iDrive screen going out, malfunctions popping up, car dying. Dynamic drive malfunction, active steering malfunction. I start the car up again and it's fine. After a few minutes it happens again. Left me stranded on the side of the highway.

This is the second time this happened in 5 months. I read in this forum about replacing the battery and everything will be fine. I replaced the battery and it was fine. Now it is happening again. Any idea what is wrong. I just did a oil change, brake fluid change and vehicle service check.

 

I'd say go get the software updated would be the next logical step.

 

All faults are stored - get them checked out at the dealer.
