I've kept the automatic headlight control on. Recently, I have been finding the battery discharged in the AM when I first try to start the car. Last night, I turned the headlights full off (no auto) and the car started up fine in the morning. Has anyone else seen an issue with the car not fully shutting off with auto headlights?

Do you park the car overnight unlocked with the keys in the ignition?

I do park it unlocked in my garage... No key in though <_<

I do notice the car makes a bunch of low buzzing noises after it is shut off. Is this normal?

Welcome aboard, rfq17!
Those buzzing noises was annoying at first, but I have been now get used to it. Now, I like those buzzing noises because you know your car is a live
It's cool that when you first open the door in the morning, you'd hear a brief solenoid sound or something like that.

The buzzing is normal.

The reason I asked about your key is that there is a software bug that causes your parking lights to stay on if you open anything but the driver's door (it used to be the headlights in CIP 11.x but they "fixed" that on version 12.x) if the car has been sleeping with the keys in the ignition.

Not too many people see this bug because they don't leave the keys in the ignition for extended periods. Anyone can test it if you want -- park the car with the keys in the ignition and the headlights set to auto. Wait a bit more than 16 minutes so the car goes to sleep. Once the car is asleep, open the trunk or any door other than the driver's door. The headlights will come on and quickly go off (the first phase of the bug fix ) but the parking lights will remain on until the driver's door is opened.

Often times I'll go out to my car (in the garage) and get something from the back seat or the trunk. If I'm not paying attention (or if it's daylight) and I don't remember to open the driver's door, the lights will stay on until the battery dies...

Nope, I don't do that. Also my car's build date is 9/04 and it has a later version of the software. May just be a bad battery. I'm taking it in to have them check it out.
Thanks.

Even version 13.3 of the software has this bug. Not sure if they fixed in in 15.x...
