My dealer was installing the IPOD integration, but then called to say that I need a new PIM module because it failed during the upgrade. I asked my SA what that was, but he was not sure. I did not press him to find out because (1) he is a good guy; (2) it is covered under warranty; and (3) he was really tied up with customers trying to pick up their cars at 5pm.

My question then is WHAT THE HE^& IS A PIM MODULE ??????

BTW, I'm driving a new 2007 X3 3.0si (my choice as I wanted to try something different). I am not a fan of the X3 (but love the X5), but the si has some pep to it.
