So my dad calls me today and tells me that he got into the car today and pushed the Start button and the car turned on normally. He then shifted into Drive, but when he did that, all the windows went down but the car would not move. He tried several times and the same thing happened until finally the car changed gears fine and he was able to drive without any problems. But it happened again when he started the car at a later time. In addition to this, and I don't know how it relates to this, but the error message about the "passenger side harness" or something like that, came up as well. He said he'd take it in to get checked, but I was curious if it happened to anyone on here as well. Or maybe even find out if something was done to cause this? It seems to be an electrical problem somewhere, so I'm not sure if a driver could actually trigger it, but.... just wanted to get an opinion on it, if maybe this is considered a major problem that may not even have a solution, or if it just happened as an isolated incident. From my understanding, the car is driven everyday, if not at least three times a week. So it's not cooped in the garage where the battery could suffer as a result.

Any ideas?

sounds like some kind of anti-theft or post-collision feature

Sounds logical -- take it in to have it checked out. Also, could possibly be some wierd low battery issue as well... When the battery gets low, strange things tend to happen.

All right, thanks for the input. I just needed some consolation.
