What is the difference between Nasca leather and Dakota? Could you also provide some detail on the headliner difference?

Thanks

Nasca leather is chock full of Nasca'ey goodness.

Nasca is a "posher" leather, but the main difference is that that it has holes in it through which the ventilation blows.

BTW in the UK if you order ventilated seats you automatically get heated seat options included. i would imagine it's the same in NA.

Nasca leather feels much smoother and yes your right it has tiny holes in the leather but it doesn't "blow" the air it sucks the through, so whe heat build up occurs it pulls the air leaving you nice & cooled down. Lexus I believe blows the air, but think about it if your back gets really hot blowing air won't help, it would just heat up & be warm air, but by pulling "ventilating" the heat that's there.

And yes Ventilated seats are also heated.

Peace

I've heard of alcantara suede headliners but what is an anthracite headliner?

Couple of corrections here, the Prority 1 option is "Anthracite" not alcantara. This option is $500. Next with Ventilated seats($1050) you need to have Nasca leather($1800) & Premium Pkg($2200) & Multi-contour seats($1200), all are required to get Ventilated.
I have a 2008 550i to be delivered this week with ventilated seats but without multi-contour. I believe it is not correct that multi-contour is required (either that or I am getting a very good deal on my car).

It would appear you are correct, the MY2008 Vehicle Spec sheet posted in the info area does say that only the ZPP and Nasca options are required to order the vent seats...I did not notice that until this am.

I agree with you guys that the req. for ventilated is Nasca & ZPP & I also seen that on the spec sheet aswell, I even took the spec sheet that shows that, & his system would not go thru if Multi-contour wasn't selected. He even went so far & showed me his screen & what it said because I didn't believe him, & sure enough his screen said 456 is req. for 453...I couldn't argue further. I ordered this car the day that the LCI was available to be ordered which was on 1/28/07 I believe, maybe I got screwed with an early glitch or something.

I'm glad to know that you received ventilated w/out multi-contour, its going to give me leverage when I pick up my car this week.

Peace
