hey guys..I promise I have searched the forum before asking this...
What is up with "priority one" options like ventilated seats...I am in NA (North America)...I do not see this option on the US '08 option sheet that is posted???
Are there options that can NOT be had in NA?? I know I've read plenty of post of members with this option but nothing real recent??
And Yes, I do want this option w/heated seats...

There are two Priority One options in the US - ventilated seat and alcantara headliner. They're ordered like any other option, but for some reason, BMWNA treats them as "double secret options". They're not in the brochers, web site, etc. I don't really know why, but they really are no different than any other option.
Audi has options that are only customers can order. In other words, you'll never see the option on a car that a dealer has ordered and is sitting on the lot. Maybe Priority One options are the same.

As a follow up, are these options available with Dakota leather seats?

Couple of corrections here, the Prority 1 option is "Anthracite" not alcantara. This option is $500. Next with Ventilated seats($1050) you need to have Nasca leather($1800) & Premium Pkg($2200) & Multi-contour seats($1200), all are required to get Ventilated.
I ordered a 2008 528i and had to get all those options just to get Ventilated, keep this in mind, when I ordered my 2006 525i & also got ventilated seats but then the requirement was: Nasca, premium pkg. It seems for 2008 they added Multi-contour seats in addition to the others. Back in 2005 the requirement was Nasca, & comfort seats. So it looks like for 2008 they made all of them a requirement.
Lastly I'll say that Ventilated seats are worth every penny & in this case it costs around $6000 just to get ventilated....but worth it
Peace

My Ride: My 1st was an '06 530xi, Titanium Silver w/ gray dakota leather, sport pkg. & Nav.
Now my 2nd is an '08 650i CP, Space Gray, Blk Dakota, Sprt. Auto, HUD, Sprt. Pkg., Prem. Sound, High Beam Ast. & Comfort Access
What is the difference between Nasca leather and Dakota? Could you also provide some detail on the headliner difference?
Thanks
