We pay income tax normally 50% but highincome pay MAX tax 60% !! For cars we pay 180% tax on the price that you give in germany/usa and so on!! That is on the cars price. Then we also have to pay tax on Extraequipment as leather,NAV,Xenon, and so on... 
We also pay road/tax on weight of the car on a E60 it is : 1000 USD a year. :thumbsdown:
Our fuel cost: 1,68 USD per liter 92 oct. Diesel is nearly the same but about: 1,60 USD per liter diesel :'( .
Full Insurance is nearly impossible for a 18-25 year car owner in denmark, so most people start out with a very used old car untill they reach Elite level. Then they can get full insurance on a new car.
So i still say: I wished i lived in the USA !!

I know.. The new car prices in Norway and Denmark really sucks.. My car (2004 520iA) cost 100 672, 75 USD new in Norway. A new M5 starting from 248 278,18 USD, and after new year (2007) cost it arround 280 237,78 USD..

Sorry for the thread jacking, I just get so irate when people talk out their arse about a very, very sensitive subject. I suggest you visit the World Trade Center site and see for yourself the tragedy and devastation.
Back on topic, I paid about 56000 USD for my 07 530i w/ Nav, L7, Sport, Step, Sirius....
