pre-lci drl mod question

I can turn my DRLs on/off via iDrive in my '07 550i, but I don't have the option of having my AEs being my DRLs (or if I do, I haven't figured it out yet) so I'm stuck with the lame low-power halogens if I leave DRLs on.

yeah..i was wondering about error codes too......but if the wires are tapped into instead of cut, maybe no codes? I dunno...one way to find out
As far as updates......I had a software update a few months back..and no drl option in the idrive menu.

If you add a diode between the new +12V and the DRL then you wont get an error and you'll protect your +12V source when the DRL lights are switched on my the car. The only time you get an error is when the car wants to put a light on and it can't.
