Pre-LCI Business Navi upgrade

Couldn't disagree more. The post LCI business nav is excellent. The screen is bigger than any aftermarket product and works very well. Even better, in the UK it is currently available for only 350 GBP including 6 disc multichanger. It provides all features I need from a satnav, apart from speed cameras, but that's not available on professional anyway. I certainly would not spend 2,600 GBP on professional satnav if I could get business nav for anything less than 1,000 GBP, there are just not sufficient benefits.
I agree with timebob 99%. The business NAV for ?350 with 6 cd exchanger is worth every penny, however I wish I can add speed cameras and be able to use full post code search.

I didn't understand. Do I need to just upgrade the Progman or I also have to make some hardware change to get 2D Maps in my Navi Business (530i, Feb 2004).
Will hardware change be successful? That we do not know (yet).

I have just asked BMW Norway about this. They say I must have a new screen and software, totalling NOK 55.000 plus fitting! Or about $11.000. They can't be taken seriously.
It is almost cheaper to buy a new car with proff NAV.

Just some plug and play job, trimes removed and 2 screws unscrewed. Navi worked immediately, but error appeared every time when starting car. Needed to code VA to remove this and that was that.
Worth every penny, it was not expensive (ebay, 300€) and new radio has (very nice) favorites buttons also.
