Good for you, but I never would've received that same break from that cop.. Middle finger to the pigs, they ruined my life.

i'm sure there are many stories that have saved people

but i just don't see the justification, particularly with use of pinpoint laser

nothing u can do about that

and nothing substitutes obeying posted speed limits

If a cop is clever and on turns on his radar when he sees you, you're toast. Sure your radar detector will detect it but, at that point, it's too late. I don't have one because I don't want to be lulled into a false sense of security.

Still a radar detector greatly reduces probability of getting caught speeding. For me driving w/out it is like driving blindfolded. My Escort saves me 3-4 times per year, failes to save once in 1-2 years but I can live with that. 3-4 tickets per year would kill me.
