Most probably before the last upgrade I had CIP 17.x as, the yellow LEDs where not on. Now, after the upgrade, I also have MP3, so I assume I have CIP 19.x.

Problem is, every time I start the car, regardless of where I left iDrive, the screen shows, Please insert navigation DVD, and this is annoying.

Is there any solution to this?

Yes, press one time the iDrive knob or... insert the navigation DVD!

More seriously, it already occured that this screen stays blocked and you cannot remove it by pressing the knob. The solution I found to remove this is to activate manually the pdc; this gives you back the control over the announcement windows. As this blocking is perfectly reproductible (occurs when you wait 1s before going from position II of the key to ignition), I try to avoid producing the situation and this works fine.

Well, it would be very nice, IF I'd knew I stand any chance, regardless how small.

So, no one has any ideea how to get rid of:

"Please insert map DVD"

message, any time I start the car? Having just one DVD slot, I use it for MP3 playing. I am not using navigation all the time.

And believe me it is annoying.
