I can live quite happily with most Americanisms. Internal translator running full steam : Trunk = Boot. Hood = Bonnet. Fender = Bumper. No problem. What really really REALLY bugs me is Gas = Petrol. Petrol is a liquid. It is not a gas. Nitrogen is a gas. Neon is a gas. Steam is a gas. Petroleum is NOT a gas (well, not until it's vapourised in your cylinder anyway).

We use gas as shorthand for gasoline just as you use petrol for petroleum. It's less of a misnomer and more of an abbreviation issue. You can watch your tele and I'll watch my TV.

Mine is seeing people with their feet on the dash. Also the idea that I'm rich cause I drive a BMW. My boss also makes comments daily on my 530 that I bought used with good miles. For the same price I could have bought a brand new GM. No brainer...

I work for the Dept of Homeland Security and we all know how much people make becuase we are on the same payscale. I have a boss who makes like 80k more then me telling me im a baller. WTF! Ok thats all.

I hate it when people are driving slow or sitting at a green light and when you pass them, they are busy texting or doing make up in the mirror instead of driving. It makes me want to pull in front of them and slam on my brakes. They would never see it coming when they hit the back of me. The only reason I don't is because I would never want to hurt my car!

In West LA seems like ALL cars have curb rash on the rims. Every time I watch someone park their car against the curb, guarantee curb rash and I cringe every time.
