Naming their cars is probably top on my list. fake badging is right up there too - I saw an automatic, single exhaust "M5" yesterday for example.

Mine is the 12 year old no life geek kid that comes up to me in a parking lot and and tells me a complete history of my 997, or 964. He can decode the vin, knows right down to the last lug nut what makes up the components of the car, even who makes the damn carpet. This is followed by the coffee can muffler Honda, with that loud damn rap music, that wants to race me at every red light. Kids, get a life, other wise you will grow up and turn out to be...well I guess like me.

I think a "bumber" is what DRANGED just added to his signature...
Somehow every thread seems to end up discussing DRANGED's avatar/sig pic

Yes! I never understood why people fake badge their car. One of my customers has Cadillac emblems all over his Yukon. I laugh every time I see it.

tell them to stop worry about who makes the lug nut but instead use his own nut to bust a cherry.

Angry

A longstanding car-related pet peeve I have had for years, and this is with the understanding that it's really none of my business, is when people buy beautiful, expensive, automotive works of art (like a BMW) and then don't take care of it. You know, trash it and treat it like it's some beat up piece of garbage. I think of the days when I didn't have the funds I do now and how much I wished I could have a nice car, and it just irks the crap out of me. It's one of the main reasons why I take such good care of my car -- because I feel blessed and am thankful for what I have.

Seriously! A friend of mine's parents had a 330i and beat the hell out of it. I never understood it either. The tan floor mats were black, scrathes all over the interior. It made me so sad because I would have loved to have had that car and would have took good care of it and it was just abused to hell.

Another one is when everyone assumes I'm a drug dealer due to the age I have a e60 at, I hate it.
