Hey my new 5 arrived yesterday, one thing i am missing abit is the screen displaying a picture of the car to go with the sounds of the parking sensors. I had this on the one i test drove, no longer on the LCI?

Also my car seems to have come with the standard sliver gear lever rather than the black m sport one

 

I have an LCI 525d M Sport and can confirm the image of the car on the PDC is present, I can't see why it wouldn't be the case on yours, check in the idrive, I'm not 100% but within 'settings' i think you can on/off the pdc display.

Another member here 'Palmo' had his LCI M Sport delivered without the M Sport shifter, he has now had this put right by his dealer.

BMW seem to be loosing the quality edge on finishings right now, M Sport shifters missing, HGSL trim missing on new M Sports too... I hope these issues are being noted by dealers and area managers, i've only joined the BMW Family in the last year and my experiences with a second hand 7er and a few little things with my 5er aint sitting well with me, considering the costs we have every reason to expect alot more by way of quality and service.

I presume it is you with a different user name? I have defected to this forum as well, got fed up with only having three or four members posting to area I was interested in at Tyresmoke! Check the i-drive menu, you can turn the screen for the pdc on and off I think.

Are you going to post some pics on here so we can have a butchers? What do think of it so far? I read your review of your Audi, which was excellent, so looking forward to a post of the 5 soon!

Also...(and I DOUBT they would have done this to you)....if the PDC is installed as a dealer-option, there is no display. Only if it comes from the factory is the picture part of the package.

 

mine came from the dealers with the display turned off -

But yes, its an idrive setting to switch it on
