18" NON R/Fs -vs- 19" NON R/Fs
#1
Whats the sensus on the difference between ride quality on 18" against 19" M Sport wheels, with NON R/Fs - Is it noticeable or negligable??
I might change from 19s to 18s if the ride quality would be much better.

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Some have said on this forum that no-RF 19" is about the same as 18" RF's.
Personally I have hard to believe that the change is that big.
40 - 30 profile tyres are too hard for comfy driving anyway.
For real comfort one have to go down to 17" 225/50,
which is the standard size for the 550i in EU.

I noticed a NOTICABLE difference. Granted, I put on inexpensive General tires, but I am very happy with the ride. At first it takes some getting used, especially the feel in the corners. But I would never go back! Riding on non runflat 19s is how the car should handle - sporty, but refined. The stock setup was harsh. And I am in pothole/train track ridden/cracked road Boston. It was night and day for me.
