Passenger Restraint Error - airbag sensors, not the seat mat
Is there a way to reset the sensors without bringing it back to the dealer? They said it was the left and right impact sensors triggering the airbag warnings. They also said it took them 1.5 hours to find the problem. Can't their scanners pick up a faulty sensor right away?

i have the same warning on my i drive i got it from unplugging the harness when i removed the front seat. i did it months ago just riding around with that warning, when i do get around to getting it taken care of if they try to give me some bs imma just roll with it on.
The error can be cleared by anyone with the right tool.
One of the customer that came do get some work done, we triggered his when we disconnected the battery. We're positive that there was nothing else besides the battery pull. He contacted EAS, and they cleared the code up for him in matter of minutes. Seems that this happens to 545's the most for some odd reason.

It seems to me it's more of a software glitch. First of all, why in the world would/should pop up after battery was disconnected? And that particular customer, after he got it cleared, it has not come up again. That was at least two months or so ago.

Don't mean to hijack, but I have the same error but it happens intermittently. It happened twice in the last month when somebody is in the passenger seat. One of those times, the seat belt stayed lit even though it was buckled. However, my battery is 5 years and 3 months old. Would that cause the error as well?
