Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you could suggest a good shop for BMW OEM/aftermarket parts, I have an '08 550I.

I am looking into getting the HP Thunder 8500k H8 bulbs, an H&R Spacer for the rear, and also the M5 spoiler.

Any suggestions?

Since we're on the topic, I would like ask if you guys think the HP Thunder 8500k H8 are the best upgrade to get the same headlight color/hue as the F10 5 series. I would like to update my look from the older amber glow, to the newer bright white with a slight hint of blue. I'm not interested in more brightness or deeper blues. Just interested in having a headlight color as close as possible to the new 5 series.

Thanks!

I think there is an all Canadian thread here somewhere. May be you will get more replies in that thread. Also, look for threads posted by George (???), I think he's in Toronto and did lots of mods to his E60.

I recently put GP Thunder's in .... it does look better than stock..ordered my bulbs on ebay. Cheap mod but looks much better than mellow yellow.

Doesn't come close to the new LED AE's tho.

How's the lighting during day time? I'm not looking for the really bright look, but is it visible in sunlight?

Which LEDs do you recommend?

i'll try to tale a picture in the daylight and post...but you can see them. only thing is you see the inner 2 rings very bright the outer not at much. much better than OEM

if you get LED then all 4 rings are bright...like the F10 models

haven't really looked at LED AE kits...figure one that doesn't throw a error code will work

Greetings m_power,
I bought almost everything to do with my mods from local vendors in our forums and from Tischer BMW (getbmwparts.com). Check out Micheal at acuteperformance, John at Motorcepts, Nerwyll at trinityautosport, RPI etc etc

Since you have an 08' 550i you already have the LCI headlights. Another option would be to contact John at Motorcepts and get his HID Angel Eyes kit and Xenon Headlights. The HID kit is by far the best upgrade for LCI Angel Eyes. Here's a link to my install and a pic:

Cheers and good luck with your mods!
