I have a 530D Touring and did not buy the park control. Now I realize it can be useful...Is it possible to retrofit it? At which cost? I checked with my dealer and it seems an exorbitant cost! As option it was 820 Euro, now they ask about 1000 Euro for just a simple park control, just with sound, no video (I have pro DVD NAV). Any idea as to have the original one with the sound and video?

Not too sure if you can retrofit it. But on those accessory broucher they have it so I can't see why not. Is just a matter if the car is pre-wire for it.

Go to your dealer and get an E60/61 accessories catalogue. You'll find the parts price for the PDC in there. It'll be expensive as you may need to replace the whole bumper. (paint with additional cost) Obviously you also need to ask the dealer how much they will charge you on labour because there are some programming work involved.
