Paint Cracks

How can I check the paint warranty on my car? The dealer told me that it is covered but I want to make sure about that. Because some companies have paint warranty more that the general warranty.
I prefer to not repaint it. What do you guys think about polishing or waxing it? Do you think they can help to make it better?

+1, there is no repair for this other than to repaint. Just like others have said here, at the end f the day, you will most likely find that the hood has already been painted and this is the source of the cracking. I seriously doubt that the original factory paint has cracked or was the cause. This paint is baked and cured and by the time the car gets to the customer plenty of time has passed to safely wax the car. When a body shop repaints a part on your car most people just have that urge to go and put wax on it shortly after and not allowing the paint to properly cure. Wax will seal up the micro pours and not allow the paint / body work to breathe. Blisters, cracks and a lot of other problems can occur from this. If you got the car second hand, often the previous owner or dealer will make small paint repairs and of course most of the time they don't tell you. You get home and break out the wax... If anyone or tells you they can fix it without painting they are after an easy buck and when the cracking reappears it will return with anger and will look 10X worse. I've seen it.

I had this on an old car I used to have and it turns out there was a recall on it. The paint or primer wasn't applied or prepped properly so the paint started cracking.
So were the cracks already there 3 months ago when you bought the car or it just started happening?

It was definitely repainted by someone that did not know what they were doing the only way to fix it is to sand, prime and start over. Looks like a job by MAACO. LOL
