Angry Overheating dilemma!!!

Hi i was wondering if someone could help me, I got an "engine is hot, drive moderately" message on my Idrive and then that was followed by "engine is overheated! stop driving" after checking i discovered a crack in my expansion tank so i replaced it and added some coolant but i'm still getting these messages, I also checked the coolant temperature sensor and the O ring is fine, there isn't any oil leaking into the spark plugs so the gasket is fine too. I'm suspecting the water pump but i'm not even sure where that's located. Can someone please help me?

what engine do you have? the 6 cylinders have an electric pump that does fail.
did you blead the air out when filling the cooling system?

I tried the bleeding process ( car in idle, heat on low and step on accelerator for 10 secs) but nothing happened? and i do have a 6 Cylinder ( 2006 530i) So you think it's the water pump?

I'm starting to think it's the same thing, how much did u get your water pump for? I'm gna try replacing that and if that fails i'll probably have to send it to the dealership.
